Some shows just don’t lend themselves to binge-watching, but are still worth watching…or might be a good diversion from time to time. I’ve found at least two such shows:
Wynonna Earp
Only one season is available on Netflix so far, so I’ve been taking it slow on this one based on a graphic novel. Comparisons have been made to Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and it does have some of that camp, although it hasn’t really settled into its own rhythm yet. It has a beat; it is just a bit erratic so far, but worth checking out to see where it goes.
Dark Matter
Yet another SyFy show. The first two seasons are available on Netflix, the third is coming this month, and all three seasons are available on Amazon Prime. Over the last five or so years, I haven’t been able to read science fiction, but this science fiction show caught my eye and I’ve been hooked ever since. Likewise, I was hooked by the Battlestar Galactica reboot, although that was on a whole other level. This one has its ups and downs, but if you stick with it, it gets really good. I guess I’m a sucker for ensemble casts too. What can I say?
What shows for you are anti-binge-watch shows?
