…for those of you still “following” me, since I have a “snow day” off work.
I’m still here…
Reading
Well, this could be under the next heading too, since I listened to this book on audiobook, but I’ll place it here. The book is/was Surrender: 40 Songs, One Story, written and read by Bono, the lead singer of the band U2. I listened to it over the first two weeks of this month, and for me, a U2 fan from way back, the only way to experience the book, complete with reimaginings of songs from the band’s catalog.

Watching
- Lots and lots of Robot Chicken
- Lots and lots of YouTube clips, including this one: https://youtu.be/QLWkl5YpiD0
- The 2022 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, including this surreal moment (Dolly Parton and Rob Halford of Judas Priest singing together): https://youtu.be/jNkGeWVAtp8
- Silly movies: The Wedding Singer, Can’t Hardly Wait, Galaxy Quest, among the most recent selections.
Doing
…not much, thanks to weather and work, which I’m off today, as I mentioned at the start of this post, because of the weather.
I hope you are doing well, Bryan! Happy New Year!

No snow days here, but we did get snow. I bought the Bono memoir for Jim for Christmas, as he has always been a huge fan. I’ll have to download the audiobook too.

I’m not much for audiobooks, but this one was well worth it and with Jim being a huge fan, it’d be good for him on audio. Even if he didn’t listen to all of it, there are certain chapters that are exceptional on audio, not just for his voice but the bonus music.

The Bono/U2 book sounds really good, especially for a U2 fan. How great that Bono read it! I can’t imagine Dolly Parton singing with someone from Judas Priest so am off to watch that video. Have a great rest of the week.

He didn’t just read it. He also sang and did voices… Yeah, Dolly singing with the news lead singer of Judas Priest, very unreal.

Snow day here, too…but I can work from home, so I can’t get out of my prescheduled virtual meetings. Darn the invention of Zoom! Hahahaha! I guess I’m having a “Flexible Instruction Day.” Heh.

No Zoom meetings. Otherwise, I’d be there with you, so to speak…I’ll fill you in on personal stuff, later with an email. Nothing particularly bad, just more changes, as always.
